My 401k has lost 17.06% of its value. I hate looking at but have to check it occasionally. I refuse to look at my IRA as it might be worth next to nothing. Ahhh, fun times...fun times.
As I'm sure you remember, the greatest thing about being poor in times like these, is the consistency. I had a new worth of zero before the collapse and since? Nothing has changed...I didn't get poor, nor did I get more more poor. I'm still just poor...
Ah, yes, being poor. I'm not wealthy though. I may be considered semi-middle class but that doesn't make me Richy Rich or something. It still sucks to loose a grate deal of what you've stocked away for several years and for some what they've stocked away for decades. But I do miss the simplicity and consistency of being poor...especially when I was back at UNI on food stamps.
